Dr. Dennis Rog specializes in couple’s and relationship issues, depression and anxiety, and life adjustment issues. Areas of focus also include medically related issues, grief, and issues related to military service. He works primarily with adults individually and as couples, as well as with adolescents and older children, families, and the elderly. He is a licensed psychologist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Dr. Rog received his Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He received pre-doctoral training in a hospital in-patient unit and out-patient clinic, and post-doctoral training in family and couple’s therapy and in geriatrics. He has been practicing in Rhode Island since 1989, following a move from western Massachusetts, where he practiced since 1978. Besides private practice, he has been a faculty member at graduate school programs, including medical schools. Dr. Rog has practiced on the staff of hospitals, as a consultant to nursing homes, and as a clinician and clinical administrator in community mental health and private clinic settings.
